Dora spent her tender years as a tom boy, wrestling her brothers, wrangling a dog that outweighed her and sending soccer moms into a frenzy as she climbed things at the playground (higher than 5-year-olds have any right to climb).
She began conservatory training in voice and cello at the age of 6. Between years of singing in choir at her parent's hippie church, to performing in cello orchestras and chamber groups, she spent a large amount of time on the stage. With LA in her mind for years, she finally moved at age 19. She started off playing cello in the folk band, Wooden Man. After picking up guitar, she transitioned into a solo artist, released her first EP, and embarked on her first two week tour along the West Coast, playing in a variety of cities like Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver.
In 2017 ,she joined forces with producer Eric Capone, forming the electronic pop duo, Messy Hearts. They landed an 8 week national spot with their Christmas Jingle, Up For Christmas. In July of 2018, dora left Messy Hearts to pursue her solo music project and writing. At the start of 2019, she signed with Vocal Kitchen, as a topline writer for DJ's across the world (head to the next page to see some of her placements). In March, she sang background vocals for a sold out Donny Hathaway Tribute behind Theo Katzman, Nigel Hall, Judith Hill, and many more, at the Troubador. She is sessioning as a cello player, songwriter, and vocalist, as well as working on her own music to be released Fall 2021. She also teaches voice and guitar lessons to kids in the Los Angeles area.
